The Sounds Hit NYC! Sweden's The Sounds are back in the states with a new album under their belt (produced by Killers' producer Jeff Saltzman), and well... they've missed us. They haven't played in nearly 16 months, and yet they've just played to a raging sold out crowd at LA's hippest of hip nightclubs (Paris Hilton car crash, anyone?) and had to turn away 600 fans in San Francisco from their set at Brit-pop club extrodinaire PopScene. Don't let that happen to you! The band is heading over to New York to play at Maritime Hotel's HIRO ballroom. Presented by SwedePop (duh), the band will be playing with LA electro-popsters Shiny Toy Guns and friends James Iha, The Misshapes, UltraGrrrl and Josh Madden will be DJing the event.
